Hanover Chamber Welcomes New Directors to Board

The Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce recently announced several new directors who have joined the board.

 The new directors include:

Sean Adams, Utz Quality Foods – Director
Victoria Csuri, KLK Welding, Inc. – Director
Jeremy Frey, Barley Snyder – Director
Ashley Hershey, Brown Schultz Sheridan & Fritz (BSSF), CPAs – Treasurer
Dr. Susan Seiple, Hanover Public School District – Director
Jody Shaffer, YWCA Hanover – Director
Brandon Smith, Edward Jones – Director
Lynneah Smith, Elsner Engineering Works – Director

Board terms for the Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce last three years. The chamber also has a new board chair, Julia Groft of Manpower.

 Groft succeeds Kevin Gulden of Utz Quality Foods after he served seven years with the organization. Under her leadership, the chamber will continue its focus on economic and workforce development, community leadership and strengthening chamber membership.

 All new directors were introduced to the chamber membership at the chamber’s annual board meeting on Thursday, October 17. Sponsored by Doceo, KLK Welding, and APPI Energy, the event was held from 12 to 1 p.m. at the Guthrie Memorial Library. Nearly 70 guests attended and enjoyed a lunch catered by Warehouse Gourmet as chamber president Gary Laird reviewed the 2018-2019 year at the chamber.

 The chamber has outlined several goals for its 2019-2020 year, including transitioning members to a value-based dues system, promoting the Discover Hanover® brand, renewing five-star accreditation with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, expanding workforce efforts with a focus on K-12, promoting leadership development, maintaining legislative and municipal partnerships, expand marketing services, and evaluating the chamber facilities.
