Workforce/Education Partnerships

As the baby boomers begin retiring, most employers are finding themselves in a stressful predicament. Finding quality employees is a top concern for businesses of all sizes and all types.

The Hanover Chamber’s Workforce Development Committee is comprised of workforce and education leaders that are well aware of the dilemma employers are facing. Together they have found a solution. Through unique partnerships, educators are able to place dedicated students into a business environment. Students “learn the ropes” and are productive employees. Often, upon graduating from high school, these same students work for local businesses.

“Recruiting employees is a major issue for employers. The Business & Education Summit will give employers the opportunity to learn about success stories from other employers and educators,” says Gary Laird, President, Hanover Chamber.
